Webinars

This week we have to post a reflection about webinars. Like most of you, I didn't know what this word meant. After checking on it, I discovered that it is a seminar conducted over the Internet.

The two webinars that we had to watch were interesting even though a little bit long and tiresome. They were about 'Discovering Grammar' and 'Proverbs and Quotables'.
In my opinion, they are important to us and a good start to think about using webinars in our future.

Nowadays, we all agree that with the advancement of technology, there are a lot of different modes of delivery of information.
After reading about webinars, I think that in this scenario, webinars are a powerful medium of learning delivery across the world.

With tutorials in Youtube or just information on the Internet, everyone can create a webinar.
But the point is how to create an effective webinar that your student will keep in mind for a long time and also will serve him in the future.

Firstly, your webinar must be 60 minutes long (or less). Participation may drop if it is too long.

Secondly, webinars encourage discussion, so make sure to keep your students thinking, asking questions and commenting everything.
In order to do this, use polls, ask questions and provide actionable content.

Thirdly, use a high-quality microphone to ensure that every student is clearly understanding what you are sharing.

And the last one, don’t rush. When participants feel that something is being hurried, participation dries up. Instead, you should plan wisely so that you will have enough time to get through what you need to, while still leaving space for questions and answers.

I hope you like this.
See you!
